My ‘All Go and No Show’ home built 1966 Chevy Biscayne street/strip with a pump gas 406. The only thing original is the exterior body, the bumpers, the dash and the steering wheel. I removed the horribly rusted body off of an original ’66 that had the original 283 and PG, and attached it to an Art Morrison H-frame 4(bar)-linked Ford 9 inch, Wilwood front braked, Mustang II power rack, tubular A-arm, coilover’ed chassis that I built on the weekends, with a 406 Dart block/head that I built with a bunch of COMP Cams parts like the Solid Roller Cam, Hi-Tech Pushrods, titanium retainers, dual valve springs, Magnum Steel Roller Rockers, keepers, locators, and composite distributor gear. She puts out about 550 HP pushing the 3546 lbs (3800 lbs with my fat ass and gas) to my best of a 12.26 @ 111 so far, which will easily be a high 11 sec. car once I swap the dog like 60-foot killing 3.50 gears for 4.33s this coming spring. I also have an additional 170 HP on spray with a direct port kit installed that I haven’t used yet, that should get her into the high 10s before 2012 is over. This is my first complete build, i’m just a curbside gearhead rookie drag racer.
